Meet Babs – your Science tutor

When I see a student experiencing that light bulb moment, and growing in confidence whilst enjoying their learning, it is the best feeling ever. This is why I chose tutoring.

🎓 My experience

I am a former Science teacher with over 16 years of classroom experience, teaching a wide range of ages and abilities. I now specialise in Science revision tutoring, supporting GCSE Science students and A Level Biology students to gain confidence and achieve their potential on a one-to-one basis.

In our sessions we can revisit topics you have found difficult, consolidate your learning by working through exam questions together, and explore different ways to revise so you can discover what works best for you.

💡 How I work

I use a variety of ways to teach and to check what you have learnt, from clear explanations and worked examples to quick quizzes and exam-style questions. We can even look ahead to new topics so you walk into class feeling prepared and confident.

Most importantly, our time is centred around you and what you really need. You will always have space to ask questions, make mistakes, and try again without pressure.
